Great to see progress on site during a recent visit. The structural steel is installed and the wall frames and masonery installation is approaching completion.
This project has now reached practical completion, and the final defects inspection was carried out last week.

Recent site inspection of Greensborough Hockey Club. The external cladding installation is almost complete along with the windows and glazing.
Plywood lining is expected to arrive this week.

At the time of inspection ply ceilings were being installed to the pavilion and pool shells were being formed up for a concrete pool.
Unfortunately delays have been caused by extreme wet weather this year.

The UMEC is a new project for Towong Shire Council. The new building will replace the two existing pavilions that house Federal and Corryong football and netball clubs. The site plays host to the High Country 'Man from Snowy River Festival', which the new building will be designed to support.

The design for the new Events Centre Pavilion and Sports Change Rooms is now in design development. Construction is due to start in september/ October.

Site inspection on Friday of Wyeeboo Community pavilion, due to be completed by the end of March
The view looking out of the new Pavilion. The setting amongst plain trees is beautiful, however the trees will be cut back to stop contamination of recycled water.
We have just started design development on this project. Hoverever a recent strong wind has ripped part of the roof off the building, fast tracking demolition.

AK Project Solutions has comissioned Loft Architecture to design the new layout for it's offices in Albury. We are also helping to Master Plan the broader site.
The new colour scheme designed to attract attention from the steet. The next phase to complete this facelift includes a new perforated aluminium screen to block out roof plant.
The old sports pavilion is currently being demolished to make way for the new Community Pavlion. The trusses were built in 1917 and are to be reused in the Function Room of the new building. Tallangatta Valley is a beautiful area and the drive along the Murray Valley Highway to get there is stunning.

Practical completion has been reached. All that remains is the installation of a few trims and an external bulkhead. These photos were taken a few weeks ago.
The work on the Community Centre refurb is expected to be completed next week. All that remains is the installation of the acoustic wall panels in the hall. These will be a combination of painted perforated panels and laminated timber veneer perforated panels, and will be installed in a checkerboard pattern.
The refurbishment of the Foyer and Hall is well under way. Laying of a new parquetry floor in the Hall will start next week, which will be followed by the installation of acoustic wall panels. Painting and light installation has been completed in the Foyer, with new carpets and joinery to follow.
The Kingston Waves aquatic centre has been repainted. The last element is a powder coated perforated screen, which will be installed at the top of the main front facade.
Work on the sports pavilion extension is well under way with the erection of steelwork this week.

Back at work for the start of 2015 - Construction sketches for Wyeeboo Community Pavilion.
In the three weeks since our last post, more blockwork has been completed including part of the patterned external walls. These are quite tricky because the design requires two different coloured blocks laid to a pattern that includes slotted windows and glazed bricks. The electrical wiring and mechanical ductwork has also been roughed in, as has the plumbing.
We made our own Christmas cards this year. The idea was to create a card that can be assembled into a three dimensional shape. This year we opted for a star.
The steelwork has been erected, except for the verandah area, which was taken down for galvanising. Now with the roof on, the internal blockwork can continue without being slowed down by weather.
We visited Euroa Brickworks to look at colours and profiles. We were also shown the process and the materials used to create the bricks.
Construction continues and the steekwork has all been erected. The block wall infill panels are due to start this week, which when constructed will help to brace the building. The contractor expects to reach lock-up stage by Christmas.
Stage 1 of the Kingston City Council Consolidated Depot has been completed, and Depot Services have moved in. The refurbished office has the capacity to accommodate more people, however the warehouse appears to be fully utilised. Stage 2 is due to be built in 2 -3 years time.
Construction of the Mornington House is almost complete, with the external painting and internal fitout nearing completion. Some of the detailing was altered during construction, which gives it a slightly different look. The owner sourced recycled redgum, which has been used in the windows, soffit lining and kitchen joinery.
We have been engaged to design the new Wyeeboo Community Pavilion at Tallangatta Valley, which is about 20min. from the township of Tallangatta. The interesting thing about Tallangatta is that it was moved in the 1950s to accommodate the expansion of Lake Hume. The new pavilion is to be built on the site of the existing football clubhouse, and the trusses (originally constructed in 1917) will be reused and expressed in the new building.
A progress update this week. The structural steelwork is well in progress and scheduled for completion at the end of this week. Next week, we hope to see the brickwork and blockwork commence..

After a few delays, the new sports pavilion at the Barrymore Rd Reserve, Greenvale is finally under construction for the City of Hume.
We'll keep you posted with pictures of it's progress. It is due for completion in March 2015.
We provided the City of Whitehorse with a few options for a new Gymnastics Centre to replace the existing. This is a preliminary issue for one of our options.
We have been asked to help Melton City Council Reburbish their indoor Aquatic Centre. Having previously worked with Council on the stage 1 refurb. we are now on to stage 2. The images reflect part of our proposal for the Toddler's Pool area.
After a slow start due to structural complications and latent conditions, the construction of stage 1 appears to moving along towards a completion date at the end of July.
Construction progress has been slowed by issues to do with the planning overlay. These have now been resolved. Our client has added stonework to the front facade, which gives it a bit more depth and interest.
These photos, taken last month, show most of the framing constructed. The concrete pool shell has been formed and will be tiled in the next few weeks.
The reconsolidated depot for the City of Kingston is progressing in both the office and warehouse buildings. Construction is due for completion by the end of July 2014.
